Our Operations – MDG Molecular Diagnostics and Clinical Genetics (MDG) is an expanding and highly specialized operation at the Rudbeck Laboratory. We are accredited according to ISO 15189:2022 and conduct diagnostics of both congenital and acquired genetic anomalies and offer genetic counseling. We have approximately 120 employees working in a dynamic environment with a focus on quality, development, and collaboration. You will become part of a skilled team with experienced colleagues and work closely with hospital geneticists, physicians, and other professional categories. About the Position The unit consists of approximately 10 employees and works with pre-analysis of patient and research samples. Sample Reception Pre-Analysis in Molecular Diagnostics and Clinical Genetics handles incoming patient samples such as blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, and more. The unit is responsible for pre-analysis including cell separation, extraction of DNA and RNA, and concentration determination. Work tasks also include arrival control and registration of incoming samples. As a biomedical analyst in sample reception pre-analysis, you also have instrument responsibility and are responsible for maintaining and developing our quality system. Your work tasks also include communication and information with customers, including via our website, as well as responsibility for sample transport and related logistics. Qualifications and Personal Qualities Formal Requirements • License as a BMA or equivalent competence • Up to 1–2 years of experience in laboratory work • Very strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing • Very good computer skills Meritorious • Experience working in an accredited operation • Interest in laboratory instruments and technical equipment Personal Qualities We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for someone who is: • Thorough and quality-conscious • Independent with good decision-making ability • Flexible, responsive, and collaboration-oriented • Able to quickly grasp new work tasks.
