SIA "Jēkabpils reģionālā slimnīca" Invites applications for A laboratory that is accredited and competent to perform testing in accordance with the requirements of LVS EN ISO 15189:2023 "Medical laboratories. Quality and competence requirements" standard and provides 24-hour services to inpatient and outpatient clients BIOMEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN for immunohematology, clinical chemistry, hematology, and clinical testing (permanent position) vacancy. Monthly salary: from 1189 EUR (one thousand one hundred eighty-nine euros) gross, plus allowance for work in high-risk conditions, work experience, and night work. Location: A.Pormaļa iela 125, Jēkabpils, Jēkabpils novads, LV-5201 Requirements for candidates: First-level professional higher education or secondary specialized education (paramedic-laboratory technician, biomedical laboratory technician); Biomedical laboratory technician certificate and registration in the register of healthcare professionals; Desired professional work experience of 1 (one) year, and/or work experience in an equivalent position, which will be considered an advantage; Certificate in immunohematology, which will be considered an advantage; Desired certificate in Transfusiology for blood service healthcare professionals; Excellent Latvian language skills, desirable English language skills (for job duties using the manufacturer's original methods) High sense of responsibility, good analytical skills, accuracy and positive attitude toward work; Ability to work 24-hour shifts (including weekends, holidays, and night hours). Desired work experience in the specialty; Understanding of healthcare operations and organization; Knowledge of regulations related to the performance of job duties. Main job responsibilities: 1) Assess, register and label test samples, analyze them and ensure result reliability in accordance with laboratory-approved methods and instructions; 2) Participate in laboratory internal and external quality control programs; 3) Ensure operation of testing equipment in accordance with technical specifications and workplace safety requirements; 4) Ensure use of reagents and laboratory supplies in accordance with instructions and workplace safety requirements; 5) Perform reagent inventory and ensure their traceability; 6) Monitor microclimate (temperature) conditions in work areas and refrigerators, document it and ensure corrective actions in accordance with instructions; 7) Complete medical documentation/records; 8) Comply with laboratory work rules and organizational order.
