Sverigefinska skolan is an independent school located at Fridhemsplan. We are a bilingual school with approximately 450 students and 70+ staff members. We are seeking an art teacher as our regular teacher will be on parental leave. You should have good collaboration skills, as you will be part of a team with other practical and aesthetic teachers. We hope that you are bilingual, but if not, that you are positive toward bilingualism and all it entails. We have students who come directly from Finland to our school, and this requires the teacher to be creative in order to reach everyone. In addition to teaching visual arts for grades 3-9, you will also serve as a mentor for a class in middle school. We welcome experience in mentoring. You may have teaching experience, but newly graduated teachers are also welcome to apply. You are structured and orderly. You also have good planning skills to oversee the week and manage your time well. You interact with many students and guardians during a typical week, which requires that you are comfortable using computers and various programs. Merits: Experience in art education, bilingual Fixed-term employment as a parental leave substitute for 2026/2027 starting later in fall. The employment may be terminated early if the regular employee wishes to return to their position before the end of the contract period. Approximately 450 students and 70+ staff members attend. We are seeking a visual arts teacher for the duration of the teacher's parental leave. You are bilingual and have good collaboration skills. Collaboration involves practical subjects as well as coordination with theoretical subjects. You will be part of the middle school team. You will teach visual arts for grades 3-9 and will also serve as a mentor for a middle school class. We hope you have experience in teaching, mentoring, but newly graduates are also welcome to apply. You are systematic and conscientious. You can plan your weeks, lessons, and upcoming weeks. You are proficient with computers as a work tool, as you will participate in many meetings throughout the week with students, parents, and colleagues.
