Requirements for position candidates: Education: Higher academic or professional, or secondary professional education in library science, or other education with a certificate of completion of further education courses in library science; Professional Knowledge and Skills: - excellent communication and cooperation skills; - creative and independent approach to work; - sense of responsibility and accuracy; - willingness to learn new knowledge and skills; - experience with BIS ALISE system will be considered an advantage General Knowledge and Skills: - proficiency in the state language at the highest level; - very good skills in working with information technology. Main Job Responsibilities: Serving Ceraukstes Library users: - plan library operations; - organize library and information services for library users; - plan and organize events, exhibitions and activities appropriate to the library's profile; - conduct inventory, organization and supplementation of the library collection; - conduct local history research work; - prepare reports on library activities.
