Kuldīga Municipal Government, Reg. No. 90000035590, announces a competition for the vacant position of Rumbas Parish Library Manager at Kuldīga Main Library for an indefinite period (civil service position). Key job duties: • Plan, organize, and manage the operations of Rumbas Parish Library; • Ensure library services according to schedule, including at the external service point in the Venta village leisure center "Bukaiši"; • Maintain and supplement the library's book collection; • Master and use library information systems; • Plan, organize, and implement library reading promotion activities and events for various age groups and interest groups; • Advise library visitors about available library resources and the use of communication technologies; • Ensure the collection, digitization, preservation, and promotion of local history materials; • Participate in projects related to library services; • Prepare reports on library activities; • Organize library publicity. Requirements for candidates: Level 1 higher professional education with the qualification "Library Information Specialist" or Level 1 higher education in another field and Level 4 qualification with the qualification "Librarian"; Information retrieval, processing, and analysis skills; Ability to consistently make decisions, set priorities, and meet deadlines; Good cooperation and communication skills; State language proficiency at the highest level; Excellent computer skills; Experience in customer service; High stress tolerance; Experience working with BIS Alise system.
