Södersjukhuset's library is a research library close to clinical operations that serves researchers, staff, and students with clinical placements at the hospital. The library consists mainly of a medical section but also a general section and health information for patients and their relatives. The library is an established operation whose mission is to serve all of the hospital's operational areas. The library is part of the Hospital Services operational area and consists of 5 people. Library operations are run in close collaboration with Danderyd Medical Library and are part of the region's medical library service. Job Description Your focus is the work that hospital libraries within Region Stockholm carry out jointly with the procurement and provision of electronic medical resources in the form of articles, journals, and decision support on the library's website: Welcome to Hospital Libraries - Sjukhusbiblioteken You will be part of the educational activities with medical searches, teaching, information retrieval, reference management, and promotion of the library's resources. The position also includes information services physically at the library and other library-specific tasks. As a medical librarian with us, you will have an exciting and varied job where you provide knowledge and materials to all departments of the hospital. Qualifications We are looking for you who are development-oriented and technically proficient, who are clear in your communication and have pedagogical ability, and who both enjoy teaching and inspiring others but can also work independently and focused on your assignment. Required Competencies: Degree in library and information science or equivalent. Comprehensive experience of library work Good knowledge and experience of working with electronic resources. Good knowledge of information retrieval and providing information resources and library services Good experience and understanding of IT and information systems Good experience of working pedagogically Good ability to collaborate and build relationships Meriting: Experience working at a hospital library or medical library is meriting.
