Are you a librarian with experience in acquisitions? We are now seeking a new team member for the Information Supply Unit. Working closely with an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to influence both details and the big picture in projects that strengthen the Swedish Armed Forces' and Sweden's capabilities. Here, your work is meaningful at every step, from need and idea to delivery and follow-up. About the Position In this role, you will have a central responsibility in building and maintaining a current and relevant collection of digital resources and media that support the agency's mission. You will work with the entire chain from selection, acquisition, follow-up, and evaluation of databases, literature, and other media for the library's digital collections. You will contribute to improving access to information and developing the library's functions and digital offerings. The position involves significant responsibility for the acquisitions process while also providing you with the opportunity to find sustainable and innovative solutions that meet user needs. You will also support the organization in using digital resources efficiently and participate in efforts to modernize and digitalize the agency's information resources in this specialized library. The position is located in Stockholm. About You We are looking for someone with a degree in Library and Information Science or other education that we consider equivalent. You have several years of current experience working in a library function with a focus on acquisitions, document coordination, cataloging, or collection development. The position requires several years of current and relevant experience with administrative work in library systems and with monitoring and analyzing the usage levels of digital resources. Furthermore, we expect you to have solid knowledge of acquisitions processes including ordering, procurement, evaluation, and selection, as well as understanding of copyright issues and licensing related to digital resources. A basic requirement is that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have experience developing digital tools and teaching resources such as e-learning materials, interactive guides, or AI support. We view positively if you have worked with analyzing and implementing new technical solutions within the library field. If you also have knowledge of public access, confidentiality, library, administrative, or archival laws, we consider that an advantage. Experience from a total defense agency is particularly meritorious. Personal qualities are very important to us. The Information Supply Unit is responsible for managing the agency's archives, governance and support within the information management field, and acts in an advisory capacity to the entire agency. The unit also includes FMV's library services where we are responsible for several different digital publication libraries, information supply, and database searches.
