Would you like to help develop our operations and work operatively within cataloging, acquisitions, and digital user engagement? Then this position might be for you! We are now seeking a development-oriented librarian who will work broadly, and we are looking for someone who wants to contribute energy, work enthusiasm, and expertise within these areas. Putting the user at the center is self-evident to you.
Duties
The position is broad and encompasses cataloging, acquisition of media resources, and digital user engagement.
The cataloging group performs various types of cataloging work with the purpose of providing an accurate and well-functioning library catalog. The acquisitions group purchases media resources based on incoming orders. We have entirely user-driven acquisitions. In digital user engagement, you primarily respond to emails and chat with our users.
For this position, you need to enjoy driving development and, together with your work groups, taking overall responsibility for improving workflows and procedures. Work enthusiasm and the ability to motivate both yourself and your colleagues are characteristics that define you.
Qualifications
Requirements:
degree in library and information science
experience working with cataloging
experience working in digital or in-person customer service or similar.
Meritorious:
experience with development work/project work
experience with literature acquisition.
As a person, you are communicative, collaboration-oriented, and quick to learn new things. You are structured in your work approach and highly development and solution-oriented. You are also thorough and very committed to providing excellent service. About the Position
The position is permanent full-time with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start in fall 2026.
