DUTIES
As a school librarian, you are responsible for actively working with reading promotion initiatives and guiding students and staff in information search, source criticism and digital literacy. You collaborate with educators to support instruction and develop the school library's media collection based on students' needs and curriculum goals, and provide recommendations for purchases to the principal. You also work to increase visibility of the school library's activities and improve its accessibility. Together with the principal, you continuously work to develop the school library's activities and its importance for students' learning, reading and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• a degree in library and information science or other education that the employer considers equivalent
• experience working in a library, preferably in a school or municipal setting
• a valid B driver's license
We also see that you are a person who is pedagogical, stable and creative with the ability and willingness to collaborate. You are curious, resourceful and want to develop the activities and learn new things. You have good pedagogical skills and enjoy working with children of different ages. We also value that you find it particularly enjoyable to work with children and youth and have good knowledge of media and literature for that target group.

Duration: Start date: 2026-10-05 Start date is by agreement, but we would appreciate if you could start immediately.
