JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to make a difference for children's reading? Do you want to work closely with students and educators and contribute to making literature and reading a natural part of the school day? Then you might be the person we're looking for! We are seeking a librarian at 40%, and depending on your qualifications and experience, it could be possible to supplement this position with other tasks at our school, such as working at the after-school program and thereby increasing your work percentage. With us, the library should be more than a place where books are borrowed. We want the library to be a living part of the school's educational activities. As a librarian, you will be an important part of the schools' work with language, reading and students' development. Your responsibilities include: • Manage book checkout and returns and ensure order and structure in the library • Plan and conduct library visits and reading sessions with classes • Work actively with students in class and small groups through book talks, read-alouds, competitions and other literacy promotion activities • Help students find literature based on their interests, needs and reading level • Inspire and support staff in using literature as a natural part of students' daily lives and contribute with literature suggestions for teaching and after-school activities Our offer: With us, you will be part of a school where language and reading are key to students' continued learning. You are creative and see opportunities to make reading enjoyable, while being organized and able to plan and prioritize your work independently. You are confident in meeting and leading student groups and enjoy collaborating and sharing your knowledge. Furthermore, you have a positive view of students and high expectations for all students' ability to develop.
