Every day. Job Description The IT and Digitalization Department is now seeking an engaged BI Developer with a focus on data engineering to join our Business Intelligence team. Do you have a strong interest in collecting large datasets and transforming them into relevant and quality-assured data sources? Then you might find your next challenge with us. In this role, you will be an important part of ensuring that Växjö Municipality can base its decisions on the right information while contributing to the development of tomorrow's smart city. In the role, you will, among other things: Manage and further develop the existing data warehouse Design, develop, and maintain ETL flows for data loading, transformation, and quality assurance Model data according to established principles for analysis, reporting, and decision support Ensure data quality, data integrity, and traceability throughout the data chain Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues in ETL processes and data warehouse solutions Develop and manage presentation layers for reporting and analysis in Power BI Collaborate with operations, system administrators, and BI developers to translate information needs into effective data solutions Participate in requirements analysis, design, and implementation of new data and analytics solutions Contribute to the continuous development of the municipality's BI and data analytics platform As a BI Developer, you will therefore have an important role in creating reliable and usable data solutions that support the municipality's operations and future development. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has relevant university education in data/IT or equivalent experience and at least 3–5 years of work experience developing and managing BI solutions. We see that you have: Good knowledge of MS SQL Server and T-SQL Good knowledge of data modeling for Data Warehouse Experience developing ETL flows, for example with SSIS Experience with Power BI or equivalent BI tools Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines is a merit. As a person, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You have the ability to understand complex relationships and translate needs into well-functioning data solutions. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks while enjoying collaborating with others. Since the role involves close collaboration with operations, system administrators, and colleagues within BI and IT, you also need to be communicative and have the ability to understand different perspectives and needs.
