About the Role As a BI Data Engineer, you are responsible for developing, maintaining, and further enhancing the backend of our BI platform. You create a scalable, stable, and well-structured data foundation that enables reporting, analysis, and data-driven decisions across the organization. Your Main Responsibilities Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data pipelines. Design and manage robust ETL/ELT processes. Integrate data from ERP systems, business systems, and external sources. Ensure data quality, integrity, traceability, and security. Optimize data flows and performance for reporting and analysis. Translate business needs into scalable technical data solutions. Continuously evaluate and improve the platform's tools and technologies. You will be part of our global IT department with 22 colleagues in Sweden, Denmark, China, and India. We have an informal and supportive culture where we collaborate across team boundaries to provide the organization with the best possible IT service. The position is located in Bårhult just outside Gothenburg. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone with experience in BI, data engineering, and developing data platforms. You also have an interest in the business as a whole and are engaged in building understanding and relationships. We would like to see that you have: Experience with BI backend, data warehouses, and data engineering. Strong skills in SQL and relational databases. Experience with data modeling, such as dimensional modeling and star schema. Experience with ETL/ELT processes. Understanding of cloud-based data platforms, such as Azure or AWS. Good understanding of data governance and security principles. Strong analytical ability and good problem-solving skills. Good English skills both spoken and written.
