Job Description In your role as a decision support specialist, you will support correctional officers and probation officers in their work with client decisions. The assignment involves making decisions in individual client matters based on delegation authority, quality-assuring decisions in dialogue with colleagues in relation to laws, regulations, and guidelines, and also ensuring quality in language and other formal aspects. Your work includes documenting decisions from the community corrections decision meetings, supporting staff in preparing decisions and supporting documents, and providing guidance in client matters. You will also participate in the community corrections collegium meetings and actively participate in correctional forums/practice forums. The role also involves identifying needs in dialogue with your supervisor and other colleagues and proposing structures for how work can be conducted most effectively, and driving the implementation of improvements. Qualifications We are seeking someone with experience working in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and solid knowledge of administrative law, experience with legal decision-making and handling of administrative matters. You should also have experience with supervisory or coaching tasks. To succeed in this role, you need to be well-organized and express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing. You must be able to plan and prioritize your work and drive your processes forward. Furthermore, you need to work well with other people, listen and communicate clearly, and ensure that messages are understood and expectations are clear for all involved parties. You should also have a coaching approach and well-developed pedagogical skills. To thrive and succeed in your assignment, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humanistic view of people, respect for the individual, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect both yourself and others. We are seeking someone who has: - A bachelor's degree with a focus on law, behavioral science, or political science, or other education supplemented with relevant experience for the position - Current experience from Community Corrections operations - Experience handling matters and exercising authority - Strong knowledge of administrative law - Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written It is also considered a merit to have: - Experience working as a decision support specialist - Experience with supervisory or coaching tasks - Experience working with legal processes and decisions related to Community Corrections' broader processes - Good understanding of current legislative changes and the ability to implement and disseminate this knowledge within community corrections - Experience with internal and external collaboration Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has decided to replace the personal letter with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
