SiS youth home Bergsmansgården accommodates non-compulsory school-age girls. We operate in Fjugesta, three miles west of Örebro, and a satellite unit in Gammelbo, three miles north of Lindesberg. The girls come to us due to psychosocial problems and issues related to criminality or substance abuse.
Job Description
Do you want to help create life-changing transformation for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment educator at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment educator, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivation work as well as providing daily support. Using your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans.
Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You help maintain security according to our procedures and contribute to ensuring daily activities such as schooling, cleaning, and meal preparation run smoothly. Being a contact person is also one of your responsibilities. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.

As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training lasting 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and guided introduction, preparing you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have a strong, positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are confident and build relationships easily with young people as well as other team members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm in pressured situations. You work well with others and handle conflicts constructively.
You must also have:
A diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or education from a university we consider equivalent
Class B driver's license
Good Swedish in speech and writing
Meritorious:
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as work in psychiatry or under the LSS care system
Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, such as correctional officer
Experience working with our target group (such as substance abuse care, youth care, young girls, etc.)
Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
*Exceptions to the requirement for at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

Employment:
These are permanent full-time positions beginning with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
Working hours are night shift according to schedule.
