About the Position

We are now seeking an Emergency Preparedness Specialist with a focus on total defense who will help strengthen electricity supply preparedness for extreme events that could cause severe strain on society.
As an emergency preparedness specialist with a focus on total defense, you will work to strengthen Svenska kraftnät and electricity supply preparedness for crises, heightened readiness, and ultimately war. You work independently and together with others to drive work within your area of responsibility both internally and externally.
Drive the development and implementation of government assignments within total defense issues
Serve as an advisor on matters relating to total defense internally at the agency and externally toward other stakeholders
Represent Svenska kraftnät in various types of collaboration and management networks
Lead working groups, either temporary or permanent, in various development issues related to total defense and emergency preparedness
You will likely be part of Svenska kraftnät's crisis organization in the event of a societal disruption.
The assignment is complex as operations are constantly growing and changing. Being part of developing processes as they evolve is a natural part of the assignment.
Provide strategic analytical support within the areas of emergency preparedness, continuity management, and total defense within electricity supply.
Follow up and evaluate measures that strengthen our capabilities in the area.
Contribute to systematic learning from completed exercises, analyses, and incidents that occur within electricity supply.
Coordinate and conduct analyses of risks, trends, and developments in the external environment within the area.
Represent Svenska kraftnät in various types of collaboration networks with other actors.
The department currently consists of 14 employees, half men and half women, most with extensive experience working in the emergency preparedness field.

Education:
You have an academic degree, preferably in social sciences, political science, emergency preparedness, crisis management, or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent.
You also have:
Several years of current documented experience working with analyses and reporting within emergency preparedness and/or total defense at a public entity such as MSB, the Swedish Armed Forces, or another government agency/regional administration, region, or municipality
Strong ability to analyze and present complex issues
Very good knowledge of society's emergency preparedness and total defense
Very good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing, particularly in Swedish.
Meritorious
Experience working within electricity supply/energy supply or other critical infrastructure, preferably with a focus on emergency preparedness or total defense issues.
Experience with RSA work
Experience with continuity work.
Experience planning and conducting exercises within the emergency preparedness field
Experience with Rakel, communications service
Good to Know
The position is located in Sundbyberg.
Possibility of remote work up to 50%, if work allows. #LI-hybrid.
Travel occurs in this position.
The position is a permanent employment.
