We are now recruiting a staffing assistant for a temporary position – would you like to join our team at AVA? At AVA (Acute Care Unit), we receive patients with internal medicine diagnoses and provide care tailored to each individual's needs. We are part of Internal Medicine, which has a total of 7 units, where staffing assistants collaborate daily to address any vacancies. Here we care for patients with a wide spectrum of conditions, which requires flexibility and varied nursing focus. The department has multiple care levels that require different competencies. Job Description As a Staffing Assistant, you work on behalf of and in close collaboration with the responsible manager. You are an important part of the department's staffing and scheduling operations. The role involves ensuring that staffing functions effectively and in accordance with applicable laws, collective agreements, and local guidelines. Work tasks include personnel and schedule planning, monitoring of absences and overtime, and administration in payroll systems and scheduling tools. You support the manager with scheduling, vacation planning, and onboarding, as well as introduce and support employees in self-service systems for time reporting and schedule management. The role also involves coordinating any external staffing. The staffing assistant has extended system access and special responsibility for working in a structured, thorough manner in accordance with applicable regulations. The position includes staying updated on regulations and laws that affect the area. Qualifications We are looking for someone with experience in planning work and scheduling, as well as good familiarity with working in digital systems. You have knowledge of, or the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with, laws and collective agreements that govern working hours, scheduling, and staffing. The role requires you to work in a structured and planned manner and have the ability to handle changes and unforeseen situations. Understanding of the economic and occupational health consequences of staffing, sick leave, and personnel planning is important knowledge.
