About the Position
At the Optics department in Täby, optical lenses are manufactured for IR products and thermal cameras for both commercial and military use. The process consists of several steps such as grinding, polishing, diamond turning, and coating. As a coating technician in the coating section of production, you will work with processes where optical components are provided with, for example, anti-reflective, protective, and IR coatings.
You will become part of a team with high expertise where collaboration is a natural part of daily work. The role provides good insight into an advanced production environment where technology and quality go hand in hand.
Work Schedule: 2-shift
Morning: Monday - Thursday 06:00-14:09, Friday 06:00 - 12:09
Afternoon: Monday - Thursday 13:51-22:00, Friday 11:51 - 18:00
Your Responsibilities
A large part of the work involves preparing components, setting up and monitoring coating equipment, and ensuring that processes are performed according to established parameters and quality requirements. You will work continuously with process monitoring, quality control, and documentation to maintain high product quality and delivery precision.
Common work tasks:
Operate and monitor vacuum coating equipment
Ensure correct process parameters are used according to product recipes
Monitor vacuum levels, temperatures, and deposition rates
Interpret measurement results from spectrophotometers and other measuring systems
Perform maintenance and cleaning of process equipment
Participate in troubleshooting, improvement work, and process development

For this role, we are looking for you with:
High school education in technology, industry, natural sciences, or equivalent
Experience from manufacturing industry
Good understanding of production processes and quality work
Ability to follow technical instructions and process descriptions
Good knowledge of Swedish and English; the group language at the company is English and machines and instructions are in English
Experience with vacuum processes and coating technology, as well as experience from optics, semiconductor, medical technology, or aviation industries is a merit.
