Amplius Omsorg offers qualified services for children and families through, among other things, residential care (HVB), foster homes, and open services. We are now recruiting experienced treatment educators to our unit at Ljungbacken HVB for individual care. Here you will work closely with children in a small setting with high staff-to-child ratios and a dedicated team around each child. The work demands high levels of experience, confidence, and professionalism – but also offers the opportunity to make a real difference for children with complex difficulties who need secure and stable adults. About Ljungbacken Ljungbacken is a residential care facility (HVB) in Höör for children ages 9–13 with psychosocial and/or neuropsychiatric issues, complex behavioral problems, and acting-out behaviors. Ljungbacken consists of two smaller units in the same area, with four placements in each unit. One unit offers shared living and the other offers individual care. We are now seeking treatment educators for the individual care unit. Individual care is designed for children who, due to difficulties interacting with other children, need a more individually tailored setting. The child lives in their own separate apartment without other placed children. This provides great opportunity to adapt structure, approach, activities, and treatment interventions to the child's needs. We work based on CBT principles, low-arousal approaches, and milieu therapy. Treatment is carried out in close collaboration with the facility's psychologist, child psychiatrist, and other professionals within Amplius's specialist team. About the Role As a treatment educator in Ljungbacken's individual care unit, you work closely with a child as part of their team. You serve as a primary contact person and are a secure, stable, and present adult who helps the child create structure, security, and predictability in daily life. You need to be able to build trusting relationships, look beyond the child's behavior, and understand underlying needs. A warm and respectful approach must be combined with clarity, boundaries, and accountability. The work demands high levels of stability, independence, self-reflection, and professional judgment. You need to meet children with a low-arousal approach even during high emotions and maintain calm in challenging situations. You are receptive to feedback and participate regularly in supervision. You work closely with colleagues but work independently with the child you are responsible for. As a treatment educator, you are also a role model in the child's development of new skills and more functional behaviors. Your work includes: Planning and implementing milieu therapy based on CBT and behavior analysis. Creating clear and predictable routines tailored to the child's needs. Conducting primary contact sessions focused on skill-building, behavior activation, emotion management, and problem-solving. Supporting the child through positive reinforcement, modeling, and guidance in daily life. Conducting behavioral observations and working with applied behavior analysis (ABA). Documenting according to applicable legislation and facility procedures. Collaborating with the child's team and other professionals regarding the child's goals and treatment. Work hours follow a rolling six-week schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts. On-call duties occur regularly. We also have staff working overnight shifts. About You We are looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education in social work, such as a social pedagogue, treatment educator, behavior analyst, or social worker, or alternative education and experience we consider equivalent. You have at least four years of experience in treatment work at a residential care facility (HVB) or within LSS services, and experience working with children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Knowledge of and experience with milieu therapy, CBT, low-arousal approaches, and motivational interviewing (MI) are desirable, as is experience with behavioral observations, behavior analysis, and social documentation. As a person, you are secure, stable, and unpretentious. You have the patience to build trust over time and the ability to handle challenging situations with professional distance, warmth, and empathy. You have good self-awareness and view reflection, supervision, and feedback as natural parts of the work. You enjoy working closely with others in a team and want to develop both professionally and personally. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are a plus. About Us At Amplius, we work toward expanded care and services and place great care in our treatment homes. Our operations are built on quality, professionalism, authenticity, and commitment. We have solid training and many years of experience meeting children, young people, and families who need qualified services. With us, you will work in an organization with high quality standards, where development and improvement are a natural part of everyday work.
