Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then a position as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people (non-compulsory school age boys) living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and providing support in daily life. Using your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to implementing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal protection, planning, and monitoring of our activities. You help maintain security according to our procedures and assist in keeping daily operations running smoothly with schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. Contact person responsibilities are also among your duties. The work may also include mentoring new staff and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.

Qualifications
Diploma from a 2-year post-secondary program at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/educational treatment work or education from a university that we deem equivalent
Class B driving license
Good Swedish speaking and writing skills

Meritorious qualifications:
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as work in psychiatry or within disability care services.
Experience from client-facing positions at the Prison and Probation Service, such as correctional officer
Security guard training
Experience working with our target group (such as substance abuse care, youth care, young boys, etc.)

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
We also offer 3 days of introduction that must be completed before you as an employee can work directly with clients, plus on-the-job training with regular staff. As a new employee, you will also complete SiS basic training lasting 10 weeks.
