Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? If so, a position as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivation work and provide daily support. Using your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to ensuring treatment plans are followed through. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You help maintain security according to our procedures and contribute to ensuring daily operations run smoothly with schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. Being a contact person is also one of your responsibilities. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.
Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our values.
Working hours follow a day-evening-weekend schedule. As a new employee, you will undergo a 10-week SiS foundation training course. The training combines theory with supervised introduction and equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are confident and have an easy time building relationships with young people as well as other staff members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You work well with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

A diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work, or education from a university that we assess as equivalent

Good Swedish, spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have:
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as work in psychiatry or LSS care
Experience from client-facing positions in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, such as correctional officer
Education in care and health
Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, young girls, etc.)
At SiS we value good collegial relationships. This means that as an employee you take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good cooperation. Read more at https://www.stat-inst.se/jobba-hos-oss/medarbetarskap-och-ledarskap/.
