The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that routines on the unit function as they should. You play a major role in stability and security for our clients, and provide the foundation in daily life such as cleaning, cooking, and more. You help maintain order and security at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure that our clients receive the security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues, such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. Work shifts for our hourly temporary staff are day, evening, or night by agreement. Qualifications Your personal suitability is key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a well-founded positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can stay calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area. (Exceptions to the education requirement can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).) Class B driver's license. Good Swedish in speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have: Experience working within SiS, psychiatry, or LSS. Experience working in client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, such as a correctional officer. Education in healthcare and social care.
