Job Description Do you want to be part of creating life-changing impact for vulnerable people? Then working as a Treatment Assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that ward routines function as they should. You play a significant role in stability and security for our clients, and are responsible for the foundation of daily life such as activities, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. You help maintain order and security at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure our clients receive the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. Work hours are as needed, and we use a booking system where you make yourself available when you can and want to work. As a new employee, you will complete a mandatory two-day training course, with the next session on September 23-24. You will also receive on-the-job training and go through procedures for different wards together with a supervisor to prepare you for the treatment role. Qualifications Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic abilities, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field.* Category B driver's license Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Meritorious Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., Correctional Officer Security Guard training Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., handler at a detention facility Education in healthcare and elderly care Experience working with our target group At SiS, we nurture good collegial relationships.
