The Social Services Administration of Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability services area. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, lawful, equal and knowledge-based social service with a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support services are offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on Stockholm residents' needs and the district administrations' wishes. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society and business. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's food and tobacco permits and carries out inspections. During 2026, HVB Pilen for investigation and emergency placements will expand its operations and offer six places, two of which will be investigation places. The operation serves young people who need rapid placement around the clock, or where the need for care and support should be investigated so that the placing social service can make well-founded decisions about further interventions. Our young people are between 13 and 19 years old and most of them stay with us for a period from one night up to two months. The work team will consist of social workers, social pedagogues working day/evening/weekend, treatment assistants working awake night shifts, administrative assistant, group leaders and unit manager. This also includes the neighboring facility HVB Linden. The work team at HVB Pilen for investigation and emergency placements may staff HVB Linden if needed. The facilities are located in Svedmyra. Read more about our benefits here. Your role As a treatment assistant, you work together with another treatment assistant on awake night shifts according to a rotating schedule. Together you are responsible for creating a safe, calm and caring environment during the night for the placed young people. If needed, you also cooperate with colleagues at the neighboring facility HVB Linden. In the role, you work based on the young people's individual implementation plans and are responsible for implementing decided interventions and documenting events and observations during the night. You support the young people with their evening routines and are available for conversation and support when needed. The work also includes practical tasks that contribute to a pleasant, safe and well-functioning living environment, such as cleaning and preparing common areas. You keep yourself updated about the facility's occupancy and are responsible for reporting relevant information to colleagues who take over after your work shift ends. During night work, social on-call service is available as support via telephone. Since the operation is new, you and your colleagues will have an active role in building and developing the operation, where tasks, methods, routines and areas of responsibility are shaped together. The content of the position may therefore be adjusted based on the operation's needs and development. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: a completed vocational college degree of 400 VH credits (equivalent to two years of studies) with a focus on social pedagogy or treatment pedagogy. experience of social work that has involved providing motivating and supportive interventions to people in everyday life. experience working with social problems and acting-out behavior. experience with documentation work. good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have experience working at group homes (HVB) or in other equivalent operations. Knowledge of low-arousal management, trauma-informed care and environmental therapy is seen as a great advantage. Previous experience of treatment work or substance abuse care is also a merit, as is education in neuropsychiatry and work with young people. You have great empathetic ability and it comes naturally to you to build trust and good relationships with people.
