Job Description
As a treatment specialist, you work with approved assistance (SoL/LVM), services without needs assessment, and service meetings. You work closely with colleagues in social services, health care, and other partner organizations to create sustainable solutions for the individual. In the role of treatment specialist, you work with support and treatment services for adults living with harmful use or addiction, as well as people who are exposed to or perpetrate domestic violence. The work takes place both individually and in groups and includes motivation work, counseling, supportive conversations, and treatment services. Part of the work is also outreach and support to relatives. Work takes place primarily during daytime hours, but some work may occur in the evenings. You are also expected to contribute to the development of the operation.
Qualifications
You have a university education, such as social worker training, social/behavioral science education, or other education that we deem appropriate for the position.
You have experience working with harmful use, addiction, and/or domestic violence.
Meritorious education includes, for example, Conversations about Freedom and Conversations about Violence, Relapse Prevention, MI, and CRA/A-CRA. If you have training in FREDA and/or PATRIARK, it is considered meritorious. We use the Journal Digital documentation system, and experience with it is viewed positively.
Driver's license category B is a requirement as you will be driving in the course of your duties.
