In line with the new social services act's focus on early, preventive, and accessible interventions, we are now strengthening our Mini Maria Clinic. Through this initiative, we want to reach children and young people earlier and develop our health promotion and prevention work around harmful use and addiction. The Assignment As a counselor at Mini Maria, you will have varied and meaningful work with adolescents and young adults who have questions, concerns, or problems related to alcohol, drugs, or other harmful use and addiction. You also work with parents and other important people around the young person. Mini Maria is an integrated clinic where social services and health care work closely together. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team where different competencies complement each other to create coordinated support based on the young person's needs. In this role, you work with counseling, assessment, motivation work, and treatment. We offer both interventions without individual needs assessment (IUB) and treatment services commissioned by social workers. The work includes both individual conversations and support and treatment together with parents and families. An important part of the assignment is also to develop the clinic's health promotion, prevention, and outreach work. Through close collaboration with, for example, schools, social services, and other actors, we want to reach more young people early and offer the right support at the right time. Challenges and Opportunities Mini Maria is in an exciting development phase where we want to reach more children and young people early and offer support before problems become extensive. This offers both opportunities and challenges as we together develop new working methods and forms of collaboration. An important part of the assignment is to find a good balance between health promotion and prevention work, IUB interventions, and treatment assignments. The close collaboration between social services and health care also provides good opportunities to combine different competencies and create cohesive support around the young person. What you need to bring Requirements Social work degree or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent You have experience with treatment work and meeting children, adolescents, and families You need to be comfortable working independently while appreciating close collaboration with other professionals You are flexible and want to contribute with ideas and engagement in developing the clinic. Meritorious Education and experience in, for example, A-CRA, ÅP, FFT, or other relevant treatment methods Experience with prevention and outreach work Experience working in interdisciplinary teams We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for you who wants to combine treatment work with early interventions, collaboration, and development.
