Magelungen Utveckling is an employee-owned corporation that offers qualified treatment and change work for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Magelungen operates treatment and resource schools at both primary and secondary school levels. The goal is to create a context in our activities that is manageable, meaningful, and comprehensible. Research and evaluation are integrated parts of all operations. About Us Magelungen Utveckling AB is an employee-owned company founded in 1993. Magelungen BO is a unit within the company that works with supported housing/training apartments for adolescents/young adults. We also customize external assignments before and after moves as well as coaching assignments, etc. The operation offers 24-hour on-call support. We are currently a team of 4 people working in the operation: 2 coordinators, 1 coach, and a manager. We are in an expansive phase and therefore need to expand our staff with an additional part-time coach. Target Group Our target group is young adults. We accept placements according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act (LVU). We work with varying challenges including neuropsychiatric disabilities, psychosocial issues, and risk behaviors for substance abuse or criminal activity. We also accept unaccompanied refugee children/adolescents and cases involving honor-related issues. Job Description The coach works on assignment from the coordinators and based on implementation plans developed together with the resident, their network, and the contracting authority. As a coach, you will support young adults in their development toward independent living. The assignment includes ADL training where you guide the young person in daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, planning, and contacting authorities. Through a solution-focused and relationship-building approach, you strengthen the individual's ability to manage their daily life and achieve their goals. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science, or social pedagogy (YH 400 credits). We would appreciate experience working with this target group or similar work. We are looking for an energetic individual with a passion for making a difference. You appreciate a work environment where trust, security, and warmth are central. As a person, you are organized, responsible, and engaged. You have the ability to work independently and are committed to delivering high quality. We require that you are flexible and prioritize our residents and the unit's best interests. Because our residents attend school/internships during the day, coaches primarily meet with young adults in the evenings and on weekends; evening and weekend shifts are therefore part of the work.
