Boat Sheet Metal Worker with Aluminum Experience Needed Immediately MK Manning is now seeking experienced boat sheet metal workers / ship sheet metal workers with solid experience in aluminum for immediate start on projects in various locations throughout Sweden. We are looking for someone who has previously worked with sheet metal work in the boat, ship, or shipyard industry and who, above all, has experience processing, fitting, and assembling aluminum structures. The work is conducted on a project basis and requires you to be able to work while traveling. Accommodation and meal allowances are included when working in another location. Work Tasks In this role, you will, among other things: Perform sheet metal work on boats, ships, and marine structures. Work primarily with aluminum sheets and aluminum structures. Manufacture, fit, straighten, and assemble sheet metal parts and sections. Measure, cut, shape, and process aluminum according to drawings. Assemble and adapt structures directly on boats or ships. Carry out repair, modification, and new production work. Work according to drawings, measurements, and technical documentation. Perform tacking and simple welding work where the job requires it. Ensure that the work meets the correct quality standards and complies with applicable safety requirements. We are looking for someone who has Documented experience as a boat sheet metal worker, ship sheet metal worker, or industrial sheet metal worker. Solid and documented experience working with aluminum. Experience from shipyards, maritime industry, boat production, or marine industry. Experience fitting, assembling, and processing aluminum sheet metal. Good experience reading and working according to drawings. Good understanding of dimensioning and tolerances. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work. Good collaboration skills and a solution-oriented work approach. Ability and willingness to work while traveling. B-class driver's license is advantageous. Merits It is advantageous if you also have: Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding in aluminum. Valid welding licenses for aluminum. Experience from larger shipyards or new boat and ship construction. Hot Work Certification. Safe Lifting Certification. Fall Protection Training. Forklift or overhead bridge crane certification.
