Boat Plater with Aluminum Experience Needed Immediately MK Manning is now seeking experienced boat platers / ship platers with good aluminum experience for immediate start on projects in various locations throughout Sweden. We are looking for someone who has previously worked with sheet metal in the boat, ship, or shipyard industry and who, above all, has experience processing, fitting, and assembling aluminum structures. The work is conducted on a project basis and requires you to be able to work on a traveling basis. When working in another location, accommodation and meal allowances are included. Job Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: • Perform sheet metal work on boats, ships, and marine structures. • Work primarily with aluminum sheet and aluminum structures. • Fabricate, fit, straighten, and assemble sheet metal components and sections. • Measure, cut, form, and process aluminum according to drawings. • Assemble and adapt structures directly on boats or ships. • Perform repair, renovation, and new production work. • Work according to drawings, measurements, and technical specifications. • Perform tacking and basic welding work where required. • Ensure that work meets the correct quality standards and complies with applicable safety requirements. We are looking for someone who has • Documented experience as a boat plater, ship plater, or industrial plater. • Good and documented experience working with aluminum. • Experience from shipyards, ship industry, boat production, or marine industry. • Experience fitting, assembling, and processing aluminum sheet metal. • Good ability to read and work from drawings. • Good understanding of dimensioning and tolerances. • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work. • Good collaboration skills and a solution-oriented approach. • Ability and willingness to work on a traveling basis. Class B driver's license is advantageous. Advantages It is advantageous if you also have: • Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding in aluminum. • Valid welding licenses for aluminum. • Experience from larger shipyards or new boat and ship construction. • Hot Work certification. • Safe Lifting certification. • Fall Protection training. • Truck or overhead crane license.
