Bartender — The Grand Social, Gävle Your station. Your craft. Your energy. At Drottninggatan 23, The Grand Social opens — the city's new living room for long evenings. Darts, shuffleboard, karaoke, games everywhere — but the heart of it all is the bar. This is where the evening begins. A first drink. A pitcher of sangria for the table. A cold beer before shuffleboard. A gin tonic that someone photographs. A cava that bubbles over. And later, when the clock tips past midnight, it's from the bar that the energy grows into a club — with light, sound, music, and a room that moves. Now we're looking for bartenders who want to be here from the start and build that feeling. The direction is the Mediterranean and Spain. Sangria by the pitcher, cava, gin tonics with character, vermouth, Spanish wines, and cocktails that fit long evenings with food, games, and music. But we won't lock ourselves in. We want to create a bar that dares to borrow, test, simplify, refine, and find its own style. This is a role for someone who loves both craft and pace. You should be able to mix beautiful drinks, but also understand that a full house needs flow. Some drinks should be built quickly, others get to take their time. Some guests want to talk, others just want the next round without having to wait. That's where a good bartender makes the difference. You're not just there to pour. You're there to set the rhythm of the evening. What the role involves Mix drinks, serve beer, wine, cava, shots, and non-alcoholic alternatives Work with both craft cocktails and high volume when the house is full Be part of developing drinks, signature offerings, and seasonal ideas Give guests energy, security, and service across the bar Keep the bar clean, neat, fast, and organized throughout the evening Have control over mise en place, prep, garnish, glasses, ice, and your station Help with inventory, restocking, orders, and waste control Work closely with service, kitchen, bar manager, and the rest of the team Be part of carrying the evening from the first drink to the last song Who you are You have experience from a bar, restaurant, club, hotel, or similar environment You like people, pace, music, and late nights You can mix drinks and want to get even better You're fast without becoming sloppy You stay organized even under full pressure You're social, confident, and warm behind the bar You like both craft and high volume You're a team player who helps where needed You want to be part of shaping something new from the start Experience with cocktails is a merit. Experience with high pace is equally important. If you have a feel for Spanish and Mediterranean-inspired drinks, that's an extra plus, but most important is that you have the right energy, the right sense of responsibility, and want to be part of building a really strong bar.
