The role as Child Care Assistant with us
Villa Emilia shall be a meeting place where we value everyone's expertise. We are a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool and base our education on interaction theories and relational pedagogy. We place great emphasis on our learning environments, ensuring that our entire operation supports and benefits the children, and that learning occurs in relation with others—both environment, materials, and people. As a child care assistant with us, you are responsible for all children, but work in a smaller team with an age-appropriate group of children. You participate in both play and learning, and help children feel secure and curious. You collaborate with preschool teachers and participate in planning activities that match the children's development. You also assist with practical matters such as meals, rest time, and outdoor play. Your work contributes to creating an environment where children can grow, have fun, and learn new things. You also help develop the preschool's learning environments based on the children's needs and the ongoing projects of the operation.

You are someone who enjoys collaborating and has an approachable and attentive manner in your interactions. You are flexible, build new working relationships easily, and are good at maintaining the ones you already have. You take responsibility for your work, are self-directed, and drive it forward with clear focus on goals and results. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who:
is a trained child care assistant
has work experience with or education in supporting children with special needs, TAKK, and visual support
has work experience with or education in Reggio Emilia's pedagogical philosophy

Our Offer and Other Information
We offer a fixed-term full-time position from December 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
