The Preschool and Primary School Department is one of Varbergs Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of activity—preschool, primary school, and child and student welfare—we're here for children and students—together we shape the future. At I Ur och Skur Ugglans preschool, there are two sections, Granen and Tallen. Granen is for our oldest children and Tallen is for our youngest. At Ugglans preschool, we explore the world together with the children. We are co-discoverers, co-explorers, co-creators and co-experiencers in learning. The curriculum is the foundation of our activities and naturally combines Friluftsfrämjandet's perspective on nature, animals and outdoor life. We also work thematically with a year-long story as our starting point. Through a varied and joyful approach, children develop their language while their imagination, creativity and capacity for representation are given room to grow. JOB DUTIES We're now looking for a childcare worker for I Ur och Skur Ugglans preschool. We're looking for you if you appreciate outdoor life, play, language, movement and nature experiences and want to help give children a lifelong relationship with nature as well as good conditions for a healthy lifestyle. We hope you're open to new perspectives and willing to challenge yourself by trying new approaches with the department's goals and the children's best interests as your starting point. You contribute to collaborative learning by actively participating in discussions, conversations and reflections based on the children's and department's needs. You work well with others and take responsibility for both your own tasks and the department's shared challenges. You have the ability to motivate and inspire children by creating meaningful situations and learning environments where their curiosity and desire to learn are awakened. By taking advantage of children's interests, you give them the opportunity to feel influence, participation and engagement in their own learning. To thrive in the role of childcare worker with us, we'd like to see that you: • Are an active person who enjoys spending time in forests and natural settings for much of the day. • Have knowledge of pedagogical documentation. • Have a professional approach in interactions with children, guardians and colleagues. • Are a good relationship builder who sees collaboration as a success factor. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you who is responsive to children's needs and has a natural ability to create security, where an inclusive approach is essential so everyone feels at home in the group. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy contributing to a positive team. Since daily life at preschool is constantly changing, you're solution-focused and meet small and large challenges with a positive attitude and calm confidence. We're looking for you who: • Have upper secondary education, Child and Recreation Program, or equivalent as the employer deems equivalent. It's a merit if you have: • Experience with children with special support needs • Experience working continuously with pedagogical documentation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
