The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future. Stråvalla Preschool is located in Stråvalla, in the municipality's northernmost part, approximately 25 kilometers north of Varberg. Here there are three departments and room for 51 children. The preschool has close access to the sea, beach, and beautiful natural areas that are often explored. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a childcare worker with us, you are one of the children's most important adults. You ensure that their day at preschool is fun, safe, and educational. Main responsibilities: • Create a safe and inspiring daily routine where every child is met with competence and warmth, and where you actively contribute to an environment where everyone feels included. • Help children who need extra support. You find ways that work for each individual and work closely with your colleagues so that all children thrive. • Participate in planning and implementing pedagogical work and use pedagogical documentation to follow children's learning processes. • Build trusting relationships with children's guardians, where you together create the best conditions for the child's development and needs at preschool. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is responsive to children's needs and has a natural ability to create a sense of security, where an inclusive approach is a matter of course so that everyone feels at home in the group. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy contributing to a positive team. Since the daily routine at preschool is changeable, you are solution-focused and meet small and large challenges with a positive attitude and calm confidence. We are looking for someone who: • Has upper secondary education in the Children and Leisure program, or equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. It is a merit if you have: • Experience with children in need of special support • Experience working continuously with pedagogical documentation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Type of employment: Fixed-term contract. Duration: Start date: 2026-08-17 Start according to agreement, End date: 2027-06-30.
