We are seeking a temporary childcare provider position for the school year 2026-2027 at our shift department Hallonet at Baldershage preschool. With us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference every day by contributing to a safe, developmental and inspiring environment where children can grow, explore and learn together. In Avesta Municipality's preschools, we work based on ICDP, Guiding Interaction, and a low-affect approach. We see children as competent and curious individuals with a desire to succeed. Through good relationships, play and respectful interactions, we create the best conditions for children's development and learning. Do you want to be part of that work? About the role As a childcare provider in our shift department, you are an important part of several teams and we want you to help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for our children at the preschool. Together with your colleagues, you work according to the preschool's governing documents, with special focus on the Curriculum for Preschool (Lpfö 18), to give each child the best conditions for development, learning and well-being. The work is characterized by closeness, care and relationship-building. You are a present, responsive and engaged adult who meets children with warmth, curiosity and respect. Through play, exploration and everyday situations, you support children's development, independence and desire to learn. You contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment where each child is given the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions. In the role, you are expected to independently and responsibly plan, implement, document and follow up on teaching and pedagogical activities based on the curriculum's goals and the children's needs, interests and conditions. You actively contribute to developing learning environments that inspire play, communication, interaction and exploration, while monitoring and reflecting on the activities' content and quality together with your team. You collaborate with guardians and colleagues to create trusting relationships and high-quality operations. Through your commitment, you help ensure that care, development and learning form a whole where each child feels safe, included and valued. You work closely with your teammates and have support from a special education specialist and other support functions when needed. This role suits you if you are confident in your professional role, have a genuine interest in children's development, and want to be part of creating a preschool where every child gets a secure start in life regardless of the day of the week. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with both preschoolers at Nyponet and Hallonet and school children who attend our shift after-school program Nattfjärilen. Your primary responsibility is toward the older preschoolers at Hallonet who are at Baldershage during inconvenient hours. It includes planning to ensure that preschoolers receive their share of the preschool curriculum and have meaningful and fun after-school time regardless of the day of the week. The work involves meeting children early mornings, daytime and evenings on both weekdays and weekends. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-09-17, End date: 2027-08-22.
