The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varbergs kommun's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student welfare—we are here for children and students. Together we shape the future. This position involves work at the after-school program.
Bosgårdsskolan is located in Tvååker approximately 15 km southeast of the central town of Varberg. Currently, Bosgårdsskolan is being renovated, which means that grades F-1 are conducted at Centralsskolan in Tvååker, grades 2–6 are conducted at Håstensskolan, and grades 7–9 at Mariedalsskolan. The newly renovated school will from 2028 onward accommodate 750 students in grades F-9.

JOB DUTIES
As a childcare worker at the after-school program, you are an important part of the work team and contribute to creating a safe and educational environment for our students. You work to create the best possible conditions for learning by supporting students in their social interaction and in the activities offered at the after-school program. Together with after-school teachers, you help realize the goals of the curriculum.
Examples of job duties:
- Actively participate in planning and implementing activities at the after-school program.
- Be a present and supportive adult in students' free play and planned activities.
- Cooperate with the school during students' school day, e.g. during breaks or lessons.
- Contribute to good order and a safe learning environment for all students.
- Maintain good and close contact with guardians during pickup and dropoff.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek a responsible colleague who is a trustworthy adult. You naturally move between supporting free play and leading planned activities. It is self-evident to you that you contribute to a positive work climate where we help each other solve everyday challenges and together create a safe environment for students.
You possess pedagogical skill in how you guide students in social interaction and conflict management. With a solution-oriented focus, you contribute to making the after-school program a place where all children feel seen and included.
We seek you who:
• Have upper secondary education in the Child and Recreation Program, Aesthetic Program, or equivalent that the employer deems equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have:
• Experience working with children with special needs

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-09-21. Start according to agreement, ends: 2026-12-18.
