The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with close to 2,200 employees. Bläshammar School is located approximately 5 km north of central Varberg. The school accommodates 350 students in grades F–6. The school offers a varied outdoor environment that enables play and movement as well as proximity to nature. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a childcare worker at the after-school program, you are an important part of the team and contribute to creating a safe and educational environment for our students. You work to create the best possible learning experience by supporting students in their social interaction and in the activities offered at the after-school program. Together with teachers in the after-school program, you help implement the curriculum's objectives. Examples of job responsibilities: - Be a present and supportive adult in students' free play and planned activities. - Participate in collaboration with the school during students' school day, e.g., during breaks or class periods. - Contribute to good order and a safe learning environment for all students. - Maintain good and close contact with guardians at pickup and drop-off. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a responsible colleague who is a trusted adult. You naturally move between supporting free play and running planned activities. For you it is self-evident to contribute to a positive work environment where we help each other to solve everyday challenges and together create a safe environment for the students. You possess a pedagogical instinct for how you guide students in social interaction and conflict management. With a solution-oriented focus, you contribute to making the after-school program a place where all children feel seen and included. We are looking for someone who: • Has a high school diploma, Child and Recreation Program, or equivalent that the employer deems comparable.
