Villans Preschool
Villans Preschool is a staff cooperative located in Jursla, a town north of Norrköping. We operate in spacious and bright facilities with a large outdoor yard and pleasant outdoor environment that encourages extensive outdoor time, play, and movement. The preschool's proximity to the forest gives us the opportunity to explore nature. We focus on language, mathematics, movement, music, nature, as well as children's participation and influence.
The preschool has one classroom with children between one and five years old. Villans Preschool wants to be perceived as a "small and family-like" preschool where there is time and opportunity to build wonderful relationships with children and parents in a natural way.
Children learn primarily through play and interaction with other children. We offer the children a safe yet challenging indoor and outdoor environment where they have plenty of uninterrupted play. We are outside every day in our yard or walk to the nearby forest to stimulate the children's creative play and movement.
Based on the preschool's own curriculum, we have developed a work plan with objectives and pedagogical goals for Villans Preschool.
Villans Preschool's Objectives:
To create together with the children a pleasant, safe, educational, and playful environment.
To see each child's individual needs, stimulate their desire to learn, and support them in their development.
To place great emphasis on children's play and strive to create fun and developmental play environments.
To work creatively and use various materials and forms of expression—play, art, movement, singing, dance, music, drama—that stimulate children's imagination and invite joy, curiosity, and creative drive.
To help and encourage children toward positive interaction with others and strengthen their empathy and understanding of others' situations.
Job Responsibilities
As a resource in the group for a child in need of special support. You participate together with other staff in planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing the pedagogical work. The work involves close contact and collaboration with colleagues, children, and guardians.
Qualifications
Childcare training. Work experience is a merit.
As a person, it is important that you are flexible, self-directed, and responsible, and that you can structure and plan your work.
You are cooperative with both colleagues and guardians, but especially with the children, and have the ability to meet children at their level and at their own pace.
