Preschool Teacher

Freinetskolan Kastanjen is an independent, non-profit school and preschool located in Slagsta in northern Botkyrka. The school is run by a staff cooperative and we work based on the ideas of French pedagogue Celestin Freinet regarding how learning takes place. We work with mixed ages in both preschool and school, and collaborate extensively between preschool, after-school care, and school. This creates a safe learning environment where older children can be role models for younger ones. The school is situated close to nature, and spending time outdoors in the surrounding area is an integral part of our activities. We are looking for someone interested in working at a preschool where influence and participation, democratic working methods, and creative learning processes are the focus. You need to have strong knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You should also be linguistically aware and work in a language-developing way. You must be a trained preschool teacher and want to work with Freinet pedagogy as your foundation. The position includes planning, documentation, development meetings, etc., together with other educators in your team. This position is a temporary role due to parental leave. We will conduct rolling interviews during the application period. Start date in October. Welcome with your application!
