Childcare Worker, Aftonstjärnan Preschool

Aftonstjärnan at Berghem provides childcare during non-standard working hours for guardians whose children are enrolled in municipal or independent preschool and after-school activities as well as educational childcare in Umeå Municipality. The facility accepts children from one year of age through spring term the year the child turns 13. Aftonstjärnan's hours are Monday–Thursday 5:00 PM–7:30 AM, Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM. Our goal is to offer a safe and stimulating environment where social interaction is built on a positive spirit. We provide children with meaningful leisure time where they can play and develop together with others in a secure setting. Activities and play are adapted to age and interest. We are now hiring childcare workers! Employment Information This is a permanent position, 75% part-time, starting as soon as possible by agreement. Your Responsibilities Your work at Aftonstjärnan involves leading and challenging children ages 1–13. The activity centers on providing care in a safe environment during evenings, nights, and weekends. Staff provide meaningful leisure time and serve as guardians' representatives during non-standard working hours. You need to be flexible and interested in cooking and everyday tasks. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work. You must be able to work weekday evenings, weekends, and nights. At night, you sleep at the facility with the children. About You You recognize the value of collegial learning and the importance of family involvement, and you have strong ability to interact and collaborate with children and adults.
