Förskolan Små vänner is seeking a childcare provider for an extended temporary position. Are you curious, engaged, and want to help develop our preschool? Then this might be the job for you. Små vänner is a parent cooperative that has existed since 1981 on Jungmansgatan in Linnèstaden in Gothenburg, with proximity to the scenic areas of Slottsskogen where we frequently take excursions. The children's group consists of 15 to 19 children aged 1-5 years. The preschool is inspired by Reggio Emilia's philosophy with learning and development based on children's perspectives, through their eyes and exploration that occurs in interaction within the children's group and between children and educators. We work with a holistic view of children's development and learning, where democracy and influence are central areas. Together with your colleagues, you take a comprehensive approach and responsibility for continuous planning, implementation, and evaluation. It is important that you are open to inviting children into reflection so that their influence in learning can be made visible, challenged, and developed. Together with your team, you shape the pedagogical activities and environment according to the children's needs and interests. Outdoor pedagogy is central to the activities and a large part of the day is spent outdoors, often in the form of excursions in the nearby nature and its various natural environments. As an educator at Små vänner, you have close and open communication with parents, short decision-making paths, and greater freedom to implement pedagogical visions. Engaged families create an appreciative and flexible work environment with much heart and care for the well-being of staff and activities. Qualifications We are seeking you as a trained childcare provider. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working as a childcare provider and knowledge of preschool governing documents. We see a great advantage if you have knowledge of and/or work experience in Reggio Emilia and/or outdoor pedagogy. As a person, you have a good ability to work both independently and in groups. The work takes place in close contact with colleagues, children, and parents where an open, communicative, and solution-oriented approach is extremely important. Beyond that, you have a good ability to prioritize and choose working methods according to the activities' needs with the children's best interests as the starting point. The work also requires that you can structure and document your pedagogical work.
