With us, you will meet our youngest patients – newborns from week 28 of pregnancy, sick newborns up to approximately 6 months of age, and children who need specialized care during their first time in life. We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and you who are a specialist-trained pediatric nurse. Regardless of previous experience, you will have a secure start with us. You will receive an introduction tailored to you. Starting work in neonatal care is both exciting and challenging. That is why we offer a long and individually tailored introduction where we take into account your previous experience and competence. Once the introduction is complete, support continues through your own mentor and you always work together with an experienced nurse. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The child in focus – the family as a natural part of care We work from a family-centered approach, where the child is always at the center. For us, parents are an important part of the team around their child. You become part of a multidisciplinary team where nurse, nursing assistant, and physician work closely together. Together we create safe and secure care for the child and family. The work is varied and includes everything from acute and advanced neonatal care to supporting parents in their first time together with their child. It requires both clinical insight and medical competence – but also attentiveness, empathy, and the ability to create security when life did not quite turn out as expected. Rotating shifts day, evening, and night with work on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Newly hired nurses are exempt from night work initially. The neonatal unit is part of the area for pediatric and adolescent medicine, which also includes a clinic and ward for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, with associated childcare and play therapy. There is an opportunity to work on the pediatric and adolescent ward after the introduction period. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in pediatric care. It is a merit if you are a specialist-trained pediatric nurse. We would like to see that you are curious, engaged, and want to develop with us. Experience in neonatal care is a merit, but the most important thing for us is your willingness to learn and your commitment to our young patients and their families.
