Child Services Coordinator – become an important person for children and young people Do you want meaningful work where the child's best interests are at the center? With us, you will become part of our Family Care Unit where child services coordinators and family care coordinators work closely together. We work together to create safety, stability, and good living conditions for children and young people placed in foster care. We are engaged in exciting development work related to the new social services law and are developing our approaches based on Signs of Safety and BBIC's core principles. Your assignment As a child services coordinator, you follow up on the care of foster children and young people and are responsible for ensuring that their needs and rights are at the center. An important part of the work is building a safe and trusting relationship with the child and being a person the child can turn to. You work closely with the child, the foster family, guardians, family care coordinators, and other important people around the child, such as school and healthcare. Collaboration is therefore a central part of the role. The work also includes documentation and, when needed, assessments of the child's needs. The position may involve travel with overnight stays. Who are you? We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in social work with children and young people. Experience with public administration within social services and work with placed children and foster families is a merit. You are accustomed to documenting and have knowledge of relevant legislation. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. As a person, you are confident, attentive, and independent. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and enjoy collaboration. You are analytical and can make professional assessments based on the child's needs. You also have the ability to remain calm in complex situations and see opportunities for development and improvement. A category B driver's license is required.
