We are now seeking midwives for the Labor and Delivery Unit and Prenatal Unit within the obstetrics and gynecology operational area (VO) in Malmö. At the Prenatal Unit, we care for pregnant women who require inpatient care. We are also responsible for the majority of our labor inductions and manage the outpatient operations during on-call hours. At Skåne University Hospital (Sus) Women's Health Care, approximately 8,000 babies are born per year, distributed across just over 4,800 deliveries in Malmö and 3,000 in Lund. JOB DUTIES We are now seeking you as someone who wants to develop as a midwife and is interested in women's healthcare. In your role as a midwife with us, your task is to ensure that the pregnant and laboring woman, partner, and child are cared for in the best way and given safe and secure care. You work independently with normal deliveries together with nursing assistants, and in more complex situations in close collaboration with physicians. We offer interesting and stimulating work at the Labor and Delivery Unit and Prenatal Unit in Malmö, where we also maintain close collaboration with the Neonatal Unit and Postpartum Ward. The positions involve employment for night shifts and day and evening shifts. QUALIFICATIONS We believe you would thrive with us if you are curious, engaged, and want to continue developing. We are seeking you who are a licensed midwife with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement.
