About the operation Primary care is the hub of health and medical services, and we provide good and safe care for our residents. Vansbro Health Center is located in Vansbro Municipality and has approximately 6,500 registered patients. We work with different professional categories such as doctors, nurses/district nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, medical secretaries, operations developers, care and rehabilitation coordinators, midwives, physiotherapists/physical therapists, and occupational therapists. The assignment for Primary Care in Dalarna is formulated in agreement with the Care Choice Unit. Job responsibilities Vansbro Health Center is now seeking a midwife! You will work with engaged colleagues in our developing operations in a rural area. The work group consists of two midwives, two child health center nurses, a doctor, and a psychologist. In Vansbro, we work according to VIB (very important baby), which is a method for finding and helping families in social vulnerability and/or with substance abuse issues even before the child is born. Close collaboration with the child health center and social services is an important part of this. Family health services in Vansbro currently collaborate in a family center-like operation. This includes maternal health care, child health care, open preschool, and individual and family care. Preparations are underway to establish a family center. Your responsibilities as a midwife include routine tasks such as pregnancy check-ups, contraceptive counseling, gynecological health checks, STI screening, and telephone counseling. The work includes both individual visits and outreach activities such as parent education and collaboration with municipal services. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed midwife It is meritorious if you have a B driver's license (standard passenger car) We place great emphasis on teamwork ability as we work in teams, as well as personal suitability with good customer service and responsibility.
