Job Responsibilities
As a midwife at the Women's Clinic reception, you'll work in an exciting environment with varied tasks. Your duties include standard midwifery work and reception activities, where you manage your own schedule and have your own patients. Your tasks may include counseling on contraception and abortion, cervical screening, and various administrative duties such as phone consultations, scheduling appointments, managing referrals, waiting lists, and handling test results.
Since the clinic has reception services in both Västerås and Köping, you'll work at both locations. We have close collaboration between the reception offices, and you'll be part of a team with various professionals. Your work also includes ongoing development of our operations. About the Workplace
The Women's Clinic provides both obstetric and gynecological services. The obstetric department includes specialist maternity care, labor and delivery care, postpartum care, and breastfeeding and postpartum follow-up clinics. Gynecological outpatient care is provided in Västerås and Köping. The clinic also has a gynecological inpatient ward.
At the clinic's reception, we primarily examine and treat gynecological conditions in women of all ages. We handle cervical screening checks, patients with incontinence issues, prolapse, endometriosis, miscarriage cases, and those requiring abortion services. We also have an emergency reception where patients come with acute concerns such as bleeding and pain. The reception team consists of nursing assistants, physicians, midwives, and medical secretaries.

Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is a licensed midwife. Experience in reception-based work and previous work in women's healthcare is advantageous. It's also beneficial if you have an interest in urology. Since the position involves medical record work and communicating with patients, family members, and colleagues, we see that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language and basic computer skills.
To thrive in this role, we see that you are self-directed and take responsibility for your work tasks. In stressful situations, you have the ability to remain calm and focus on what matters. You enjoy working together with others and adapt to the current situation. In your interactions, you are accommodating, empathetic, and maintain a professional approach. Your communication with others is characterized by clarity, and you ensure that the information you provide gets across.
