Description The Gynecology Clinic at Sahlgrenska is a highly specialized clinic with several national assignments within gynecology and reproductive medicine. We treat patients for evaluation, treatment, and follow-up within several gynecological specialty areas, including endometriosis, second opinion ultrasound, cervical dysplasia (CDV), and women who have experienced sexual abuse. The clinic's operations also include outpatient-based surgical procedures and treatments, which contributes to a varied and developmental work environment. Midwives, gynecologists, and nursing assistants work closely together with the patient as the focus. The clinic is characterized by high medical expertise, a good work climate, and continuous development work in care, research, and education. Job Responsibilities As a midwife with us, you work independently with, among other things, your own clinic where you plan and manage your patient bookings. At the same time, you are part of an experienced and dedicated midwife team with close collaboration and continuous knowledge exchange. The work is varied and includes patient consultations within the clinic's various subspecialties, advice through 1177, management of referrals and test results. Patient information work as well as assistance during outpatient surgeries and other gynecological procedures are additional examples of common work tasks. You will work within several of the clinic's different specialty areas, which provides a broad and developmental role with good opportunities for professional development. As a highly specialized gynecology clinic and part of the university hospital, research is an important part of our operations. Several different studies are conducted at the clinic, and at the clinic we see patients participating in these. There is also an opportunity to engage as one of the clinic's research representatives. The position offers a stimulating combination of independent patient work, teamwork, and participation in highly specialized gynecological care. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife. Experience working in gynecological outpatient care is meriting. Particularly meriting is experience working with CDV and/or endometriosis. You have a patient-centered approach and see good patient treatment as a natural part of care. You are confident in your professional role, take responsibility for your work, and have good ability to plan and organize your tasks while remaining flexible to adapt or offer a helping hand to a colleague when needed. We value good collaboration skills and are looking for you to contribute to a positive work climate and safe care through close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals.
