About the Position
The library is part of the cultural unit, which includes libraries, youth activities, cultural venues, cultural events, and cultural heritage programming. You will work primarily to promote reading among young children, educators, and parents. You will be responsible for purchasing media for our children's section, storytelling hours, school holiday activities, and cultural events for young children. The work involves close collaboration within the cultural unit and partnerships with the Family Center, preschools, and primary schools.
Tidaholm City Library is part of Bibliotek Mellansjö, a collaboration between eight municipalities sharing a common library system with a unified catalog and shared media flow.
We are a small library, which allows us to be flexible in our work. You will be an important part of our team to help everything run smoothly. Staffing the library's opening hours is part of the position.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with higher education in library science. Experience working with children is a merit. You need a strong interest in children's literature. You will collaborate extensively with others, but also need to be able to work independently at times.
As a person, you have a service-oriented approach and build good relationships with people at all levels. You are positive, empathetic, and solution-oriented, with the ability to build effective networks within and outside the organization.

This is a full-time temporary position through March 31, 2027, with start date by agreement. You will be placed at the library. Evening and weekend shifts are included in the position.
