Workplace and Work Tasks Within the Reception Team there is 1 team leader and 3 reception secretaries and 2 case workers who follow up on granted interventions within our open care services. In the 2 positions, some preliminary assessments and investigations may be conducted. Within the Investigation Team there is 1 team leader and 5 investigators. Within the Foster Care Team there is 1 Team Leader, 7 child case workers, 6 foster care secretaries, of which 2 work 50% each as placement coordinators. The child case worker position means you become the child's case handler with a focus on the child's best interests, ensuring children and parents are involved in the care. You conduct investigations, follow up on the child's placement, schooling, and interventions to ensure safety, health, and development for the child with the goal of reunification. You review and reconsider the care, conduct contact assessments, contact evaluations, and custody transfer investigations when applicable. We have support from 3 administrators who assist with various administrative work based on the operations' needs. Together in your team, you get the opportunity to develop in your role and in your assignment. For new employees, we offer a well-developed introduction program. There is close leadership from the team leader and unit manager. The team leader leads and distributes the daily work and is readily available for support and guidance. The unit manager also works closely in the operations. We are located at Bergmästaren in Sala together with large parts of Individual and Family Services (IFO) and in adjacent corridors. The Children and Youth Unit's open care services are just a stone's throw away. Open care is well-developed as it has been and is a prioritized area for our politicians who see benefits in being able to meet individuals' needs for home-based solutions as much as possible. Qualifications Formal Competence: Degree in Social Work Class B Driver's License Meritorious: Experience working in Social Services and public authority functions for children and young people Experience with children and young people in community care Knowledge of investigation, case handling, and documentation with relevant legislation Knowledge of BBIC, Signs of Safety, network-oriented work methods, and methods for child interviews. You communicate and collaborate easily with both internal and external actors. Good communication skills in speech and writing. You are mature, flexible, structured, and reflective. You plan, organize, and implement your tasks independently. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability. Terms of Employment Full-time 100% Start Date: According to agreement Individual salary setting Probationary employment may be used The employer will require an extract from the Police's criminal record register and proof of your social work degree before employment. Number of Positions: 1 Child Case Worker permanent full-time position and 1 temporary position covering parental leave, full-time. 1 Case Worker full-time for follow-up of granted interventions in our open care services.
