Workplace and Job Duties
Within the Reception Team, there is 1 team leader and 3 reception secretaries and 2 social secretaries who follow up on approved interventions within our open care. In these 2 positions, some preliminary assessments and investigations may be conducted. Within the Investigation Team, there is 1 team leader and 5 investigators.
Within the Foster Care Team, there is 1 team leader, 7 child monitors, 6 foster care secretaries, of which 2 work 50% each as placement coordinators.
The child monitor position means you become the child's case manager with a focus on the child's best interests, ensuring children and parents are involved in the care. You conduct investigations, follow up on the child's placement, schooling, and interventions to ensure safety, health, and development for the child with the goal of reunification. You review and reconsider care, conduct visitation investigations, visitation assessments, and custody transfer investigations when relevant.
We are supported by 3 administrators who assist with various administrative work based on operational needs.
Together in your team, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role and your assignment. For new employees, we offer a well-developed introduction program.
There is close leadership from the team leader and unit manager. The team leader leads and distributes daily work and is available for support and guidance. The unit manager also works closely in the operations.
We are located at Bergmästaren in Sala together with large parts of Individual and Family Services (IFO) and in adjacent corridors. The Child and Youth Unit's open care is located just a stone's throw away. Open care is well-developed as it has been and continues to be a prioritized area for our politicians who see the benefits of being able to meet individuals' needs for local solutions as much as possible.

Qualifications
Formal Competence:
Social Work Degree
Category B Driver's License
Meriting:
Experience working within Social Services and authority exercising with children and young people
Experience with children and young people in public care
Knowledge of investigations, case management, and documentation with relevant legislation
Knowledge of BBIC, Signs of Safety, network-oriented working methods, and techniques for child interviews.
You communicate and collaborate easily with both internal and external stakeholders. Good communication skills in speech and writing. You are mature, flexible, structured, and reflective. You plan, organize, and carry out your tasks independently. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability.

The employer will require an extract from the Police's criminal record register and proof of social work degree before employment. Recruitment is ongoing.
Number of Positions:
1 Child Monitor permanent full-time position and 1 temporary position covering parental leave, full-time.
1 Social Secretary full-time for Follow-up of Approved Interventions within our Open Care.
Working Hours: Daytime, some evening duties may occur.
Start Date: By agreement.
Salary: Individual salary setting.
