Through the initiative Targeted School Attendance Efforts, new working methods are being developed where health promotion and preventive work through collaboration are the cornerstones. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will help continue developing working methods where your primary task will be to work with young people's motivation toward school and leisure activities. The work is mainly conducted at elementary and middle school levels with children in grades F-5. The work will take place at both group and individual levels, working to create meaningful school and leisure experiences for the children. At the group level, this involves group activities and information sessions for students at school, both during and after school hours. During school hours, you will work at the individual level with specific children to increase their motivation and interest in school by offering them activities outside of the school's regular program, where the child gets an opportunity to shine. In addition to working with children, the role involves significant contact with guardians. The role includes participating in school-wide projects and working compensatorily, serving as a bridge between children/guardians and various actors within the municipality and leisure sector. You both initiate and participate in collaboration projects for and with children and young people together with other actors within the culture and leisure department such as the library, swimming hall, and music school, as well as with the individual and employment services, sports associations, and others. Since Targeted School Attendance Efforts works closely with the municipality's youth activities, assignments may also occur within that area. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in social or pedagogical work, or alternatively other education or experience that the employer considers relevant for the assignment. It is advantageous to have a local network and knowledge of the municipality's work with children and young people as well as the municipality's association life. In addition to education and professional experience, we would like you to have knowledge and interests that can increase the collective competence of the work team. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. ABOUT THE WORKPLACE You will be part of a team consisting of five people. The team works closely together with the shared mission of working preventively and promotively with a focus on school attendance. The arena is largely the school, but the approach is to think broadly and include both the leisure sector and individual and employment services as well as civil society. EMPLOYMENT Employment type: Temporary position from 261012 to 271001, with possible opportunity for extension. Employment level: 100% or by agreement.
