The Field Team is part of the Department of Culture and Leisure and works preventatively, proactively, and relationally with children and young people in Österåkers Municipality. The operation is in an exciting development phase where work with Early and Coordinated Interventions (TSI), SSPF, and Backa Barnet is becoming an increasingly important part of the mission. We work universally, selectively, and indicatively. Through presence in schools, public environments, and young people's leisure arenas, we build relationships, identify needs early, and help children and young people receive the right support and meaningful contexts. Your New Job As a Child and Youth Support Worker, you work to create and maintain trusting relationships with children and young people. The work is conducted at individual, group, and community levels. You will work with individual support for children and young people where needs have been identified through collaboration with, for example, school, social services, SSPF, or guardians. The work may include motivational conversations, leisure counseling, support in contact with other activities, and strengthening the child's protective factors and participation. The assignment also includes outreach work in schools and public environments, collaboration with other actors, and participation in the municipality's preventive work through, for example, TSI, EST, SSPF, and Backa Barnet. The work involves great freedom under responsibility and requires that you can adapt your working method according to the child's needs and life situation. Your Profile We are looking for you who have genuine commitment to children and young people and who believe in the importance of relationships for change. You are confident in meeting people, attentive, and have a good ability to build trust. You enjoy working both independently and together with others and see collaboration as a natural part of the work. We want you to: Have post-secondary education in, for example, social work, behavioral science, pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Have experience working with children and young people. Have a good ability to build relationships and create motivation. Have good collaboration skills and can work in a structured manner. Can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Have a B driver's license. It is meritorious if you have experience with: TSI, SSPF, or similar collaboration forms. Motivational Interviewing (MI). Leisure counseling or preventive social work. Work in multicultural environments. Backa Barnet or other child rights-based working methods.
